Event Description

The New Presidents Forum is an annual event organized for all new United Way executives. It is part of the onboarding process to welcome and engage new United Way CEOs and Executive Directors in United Way’s priorities and provide an overview on our strategic direction. This event is an excellent opportunity to learn, network, gain a better understanding of the United Way business model, and learn how to execute it. CEOs will spend the time meeting United Way Worldwide leaders, learning from other prominent network leaders and sharing best practices amongst colleagues.

United Way leaders will be exposed to the latest resources and opportunities available to them. They will learn how to lead their organization in the new strategic direction, and how to achieve the greatest possible impact in their communities.

CEOs will gain a better understanding of United Way’s network priorities and business model. They will learn how to execute on the business model, leverage best practices, and access the latest resources as well as their peer network. Additionally, attendees will gather information about the key leadership competencies required for success in their United Way organization.

At the end of this program, attendees will be able to:

  • Understand United Way’s Strategic Direction, and how to share it in their communities
  • Use the toolbox they developed, and take it back with them to their local community
  • Execute on the United Way Business Model
  • Understand what elements of Leadership are needed to Drive and Change Results with their Board
