• Strategic Volunteer Engagement Summit

    November 1-2, 2018

    Alexandria, VA

Event Description

Volunteer and employee engagement is key to United Way’s success. For us to thrive as an organization, we must provide opportunities for people to give their time and talent, in addition to their financial resources.

This two-day summit will explore how United Ways build relationships, generate revenue and drive impact in education, income and health through volunteerism.

Topics will be explored through presentations, panel discussions, interactive workshops and networking opportunities.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify volunteer and employee engagement topics, resources, research and training that help United Ways drive retention and an increase in donors and revenue.
  • Explore best practice on providing United Way’s corporate partners with a consistent level of service across markets for every volunteer experience.
  • Develop and enhance plans to advance priorities in early childhood success, youth success, social-income mobility and access to health through volunteer engagement.

Event Costs

The cost to attend the Summit is $495. Flex credits are available for registration, some travel costs such as airfare, rental car, or mileage, and daily per diem – a combination of the hotel room rate, plus taxes and any meal not included during the learning opportunity.
