Lori Malcolm serves as the first Chief Culture Officer for United Way Worldwide where she is focused on building a high-performing culture across a network of more than 1800 local United Ways in more than 40 countries. As United Way fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person in every community, Ms. Malcolm brings her expertise in systems, strategy and excellence at an important time in the organizations history. Working with a diverse staff across the worldwide network, she is playing a critical role in connecting culture with the networks transformation to a business model focused on engaging individuals, while leaping forward in digital strategy. Her responsibilities encompass the organizations People functions including Recruiting, Talent Development, Learning & Conferencing, Human Resources, and Operations Excellence.

Prior to joining United Way Worldwide, Ms. Malcolm held senior roles for industry-leading organizations known for their strong cultures of performance and execution. Ms. Malcolm led Recruitment Marketing and Diversity Recruiting at Walt Disney World, IT Recruitment and Organizational Effectiveness at Walmart, and served as the SVP Human Resources and Talent at the franchised concept, Checkers and Rallys Restaurants. She brings a systems approach to her work that builds upon her engineering background, including 10 years developing and selling technology solutions with IBM, Corp.

Lori earned a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University and has served on numerous nonprofit boards and industry associations focused on her passion to help others live better, healthier lives. She and her husband, Phil, reside in Tampa, FL and have four children between the ages of 21 and 28 who live in Japan, New York, Los Angeles and Miami.

Previously Stefanie served as Chief Financial Officer at United Way of Greater New Haven for seventeen years and Controller for two years. In her role as Chief Operating Officer, Stefanie provides strategic direction for the development and operation of United Ways administrative, financial, legal and risk management operations, Resource Development and Donor Services teams. She also oversees the Information Technology, Human Resources and Facilities management functions of the organization. Stefanie is a member of the United Way Worldwide Financial Issues Committee and was one of twenty system leaders selected nationally to develop a framework for diversity and inclusion within the United Way network. Stefanie is Founder and CEO of the Connecticut Black Professionals Network and has been named one of New Haven Business Times 20 Noteworthy Business Women. She has received awards from the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women and the New Haven faith Community for her work in the community. Stefanie has served on the United Way Worldwide Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology forum planning committee, facilitating learning sessions in the United Way network and with finance professionals in both the for-profit and non-profit communities. She has also served as a mentor to other emerging leaders within the network and the local community. Lucia (Lucy) Downton is the Vice President of Technology and Operations for the United Way of Central Indiana. After receiving a Chemical Engineering degree from Purdue University, she began her career working in the utility industry. She started in Quality Assurance at a nuclear power plant and then moved into regulation and operations for natural gas. After 14 years she decided to transition to something more meaningful. She began her United Way career as a loaned executive in 1997. Lucy worked in Fundraising at UWCI for 15 years according to Lucy fundraising is just another form of sales. As Director of the annual campaign she saw their fundraising results grow from $36.3m to $41m in 8 years. In 2013, after working closely with the Finance department over the years and leading the internal technology advisory team for many years, she was asked to move to a leadership role in Operations and oversee Technology for the organization. In 2017, Downton was recognized as an honoree for CTO of the Year award in Not-for-profit/Government division. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for Indiana United Ways, a statewide association. Lucy leads the Technology Engagement Core Group for the UW network.

Bill Kitson has spent the last 30 years working for United Way at both the local and national level. He is currently the U.S. Western Regional Director for United Way Worldwide, working with 156 United Ways across the region focusing on performance. He is committed to engaging community members to give, advocate and volunteer through United Way to achieve our aspirations for every child to graduate, every family to achieve financial stability and good health for all. Bills most recent local United Way experience was as president and CEO of United Way of Greater Cleveland, where they annually raised over $40 million. In his almost four years he implemented an innovative wraparound strategy, bringing community help and support to 25 Cleveland Metropolitan School District schools, raising $2.5 million annually to bring the program to life. Before arriving in Cleveland, Kitson served as United Way of Greater Toledo president and CEO for seven years where he transformed their work to a community mobilization model focused on graduating kids. Kitson also served as president and CEO of United Way of Champaign County in Illinois before leading the Toledo United Way. His 30 years of fundraising, marketing and leadership experience in the United Way network also includes service in Milwaukee, New York, Connecticut and his native Rhode Island. In Cleveland, Kitson served on the Mayor's Transformation Alliance, Ohio Governor Kasich's Community Connectors Advisory Board, and was a member of the Leadership Cleveland class of 2013. He has also served as chair of the United Way Worldwide National Professional Council, 2-1-1 Work Group co-chair, NFL Partnership co-chair, 2011 Staff Leaders Conference co-chair, member of Ohio Governor Strickland's Anti-Poverty Task Force and co-chair of Toledos 2010 census committee. At the University of Utah, her work significantly expanded clinical research opportunities by overseeing the implementation of a common data model that standardizes millions of data points across several national healthcare organizations. Although Meghan spent several years in the academic medical research field, she got her professional start as a social-service evaluation consultant for schools, community organizations and government agencies. It was these early experiences in which she discovered that she could blend her passion for serving her community with her passion for data and technology. Tina MacVeigh serves as Senior Vice President of Network Strategy for the US Network. Tina has 20 years of leadership experience, ranging from start-ups to global organizations, and a high level of expertise in strategic planning, organizational transformation, enterprise system implementation, business intelligence and analytics, impact assessment, revenue generation and more. Prior to joining UWW, Tina worked at United Way of Greater Cincinnati (UWGC), where she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer. Darlene Middleton is the Director, Grants and International Giving within the Finance Department of United Way Worldwide for over 3 years. She manages and overseas the day-today accounting and financial reporting functions associated with grants, contract, and international Donor Advised Giving (IDAG), and other restricted funding projects such as the recent disasters. Darlenes also focuses on ensuring budget and compliance with donor requirements, and address concerns including development of control policy and procedures for IDAG and other UWW grants. Additionally, she also works closely with the controllers in the preparation of year end schedules for the audited financial statement and IRS Form 990 and other required reports. Prior to joining UWW, Darlene work with Winrock International (WI) for over 15 years in numerous roles including senior program officer. She has more than 15 years of professional experience in the international development field managing natural resources, forestry, and rural development projects for various clients, including State Department and USAID. She has extensive experience on financial and budgeting forecasting, in addition to developing grants manual and the management of numerous small grants program between $1-5 million. Darlene holds a Master of Science in Resource Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. In her role, Cheryl is committed to ensuring the organization achieves its mission of improving lives by mobilizing the caring power of the community while maintaining adherence to strict accountability and transparency standards to uphold financial integrity and donor trust. Cheryls areas of responsibility include finance, accounting, pledge processing, donor designation processing, human resources, building management, data sciences and information management. Cheryl received a B.A. in Psychology from Wittenberg University and is a CPA (currently inactive). Her career includes experience in public accounting, healthcare finance and non-profit financial and operational management. Prior to joining United Way in 2001, Cheryls first United Way experience was working as a Loaned Executive early in her public accounting career. Cheryl is an alumni member and past chair of the United Way Worldwide Financial Issues Committee. She also serves as Board Vice Chair for UPIC Solutions, a national information technology services cooperative founded by local United Ways. Meet Dan Nielsen, the newest member of the United Way Centraide Canada (UWCC) team. As Vice-President, Business Integration and Transformation, Dan is in a brand new role at UWCC. Dan joined us from United Way Calgary and Area where he served as Vice-President, Digital and Information Services since 2017. He is a bilingual, strategic leader with 20 years experience in developing, leading and managing technology and business integration solutions. Prior to joining United Way Centraide (UWC), Dan served in senior leadership positions at Canadian Tire, working closely with local dealers to implement shared business solutions. In this new role, Dan will lead the shared systems and solutions strategy for UWC, including major business integration initiatives as part of UWCs future state priorities and transformation agenda. Dan holds a second degree black belt in judo and used to compete for the Ontario team. He applies his athletic spirit to bringing people together to deliver new and innovative solutions.

David has a passion to serve the community. Through his volunteer work with United Way he realized the need of technology talent in the nonprofit world. He is the Chief Technology Officer for United Way of Greater St. Louis, a non-profit dedicated to helping people in the Greater St. Louis region live their best possible lives. David was the CTO of UPIC Solutions and successfully helped grow the company to become the largest United Way shared services provider in the nation. David was also a founding member of the industrys first online Electronic Health Record system, Quest Diagnostic's Quanum Solutions, used by nearly half of all physicians across the United States. David is a graduate of Miami University of Ohio and holds a B.S. in Systems Analysis and a minor in Mathematics.
